Try contacting the Spanish Consulate Office. They should still have your details on their database computer records.
Google the Spanish consulate office email address; send them an email with your details - type your email in English and also a Google Spanish translation.
Alternatively, if you had and may still have any Spanish utility bills or household appliances you might find your Spanish NIE number on your receipt.

Hi,
Problem solved, it seems all the appointments are released in a block, they all get booked instantly by agents who then allocate them to their own customers. So unless you know when the release time is you won't get one. So we used myniespain, about 34 euros each. Got 2 appointments, 1 in Alicante, 1 in La zenia. Done the Alicante one, no probs, La Zenia this Thursday.
