Hi, is anyone aware if the Torrevieja town hall releases any info on how the Covid vaccination program is going. I have an 82 old living alone neighbour with slight dementia and she has heard nothing yet. San Miguel town hall seems to release info on a regular basis, but never see anything from Torrevieja.

...orrevieja.

Assuming she is registered on the Centro Salud system I suspect she will be notified soon.

I've attached a link from el Pais in English below which explains the current status.

I live in a small place (pop. 2000) compared to Torrevieja and our town hall has given no guidance whatsoever on specific timings. I don't think any town hall is saying anything different to what is being said by the Goverment Minister for Health. The advice is always wait to be called. I think we'll see a real speed up from the end of March.

It's frustrating, but gradually the age ranges will come down and we'll all be jabbed! They won't pass over anyone on the lists because it's in the national interest to have everyone vaccinated.

From a few people I have spoken to about how they have been called for their vaccination, it appears that they weren't called they just happened to go to their medical centre mostly for repeat prescriptions and were asked to attend at a later date for their vaccinations, they are all in the 80+ cohort which I understand according to El Pais only 50% have been vaccinated. So no real system as such which explains why only 50% of the most vulnerable have been vaccinated.

Not much help if you are in the 50% who have not been vaccinated, I cant understand why pharmacies are not being used to help the vaccination roll out.
