Hello. We are a Scottish couple in the process of purchasing a property in Los Balcones. We were wondering what the best route to use public transport from. Alicante Airport to Los Balcones? Google maps and Rome to Rio seem to differ hugely!

Thanks in advance.

Try  Inishfree coaches  based in Coba  Roig  ,They will  drop to your Complex,  with Public transport  you might  need a Taxi for final leg of your journey,  I  think  change  15  a head

Hello Fran

There is an airport bus that travels just between the airport ALC and Torrevieja bus station - it is 7 euros pp.( every 1 or 2 hrs)

Opposite  the bus station you can either get a bus ----  Line E to Los Balcones.  or a taxi from the rank  on the side street

Cheers

Hi Fran

Elinspain has mentioned the two public transport buses - you can search for the airport bus times here https://regular.autobusing.com/info?empresa=costa-azul&locale=es

Line E is here https://costazul.net/lineas-urbanas/linea-e-torrevieja-los-balcones-lago-jardin-lineas-urbanas/

Be aware that you could still have a bit of a walk from the second bus (depending on precisely where your property is), and Los Balcones is quite hilly in places.

In my experience, Innisfree tend to specialise in Irish flights. My (Scottish) missus has tried to use them in the past, but couldn't get a straight answer (they said to contact them again nearer the time).

Cheers

Steve

Inishfree coaches  tend to combine  a few  flights  ✈  together  so they  can  fill the coaches  with Passengers  and keep fare low,It  depends  what size  coaches  they use  on  specific  day,  They have 8  seats  and  16  seats  coaches,

They  like  to  keep  coaches  full on  return  from  Airport

Take the Torrevieja bus from Alicante airport , it's up a level then outside to the right, and buy a Avanza card on the bus for €2 then put €20 on it. Your journey will cost €3.15 each instead of €7 each. The bus will take you to Torrevieja bus station then you can get the E bus to Los Balconies, it's just outside the bus station, for 60 centimos each. Without the card the fare would be €1.55 each. You can top the card with at least €10 up when it's getting low and can use it for multiple people.

Hello Fran

Its not an Avanza card (thats the name of the bus company) it's a Mobilis card. If the driver doesnt speak/understand much English it helps to get the name right.

Be sure to know somehow when you get to the bus station, a friend ended up back at the airport, we did laugh.
