Moving to Los Dolses

Hi everyone. We are Pete & Janet retiring to Spain end of July. We decided to research living in Spain but did not know the area at all. We booked flights, accommodation in Dehesa de Campoamor, appointed a Spanish Solicitor & contacted a few Agents for viewings before we left the UK. We hired a car & were shown Torrevieja, Los Altos, Villamartin & La Florida which we liked, but then drove round a few areas ourselves before being shown a house in Los Dolses. We fell in love with it, put down a deposit & agreed 3mths to complete.We put our house in the UK on the market,sold in 48hrs & are waiting for our buyers here to give us a completion date! Cant wait to move now!!!

Los Dolses is a beautiful area. You've chosen well! Me and my husband retired early and bought a house in El Galan not far from Los Dolses. We've loved every minute! We've also made some good friends and found some great places to eat. Good luck with the move - you'll find its the best decision you've ever made!

Well we've done it and bought a beautiful villa in the Los Dolses area and are moving over permanently in 6-7 weeks. We're so excited...

Question please. We want to convert our garage and also get the bathrooms done. As we're newbies we would appreciate any help or info regarding, plumbers builders and bathroom and kitchen fitters.

Hello there we came to torrevieja last September where we met friends who had a flat in playa flamenca we fell in love with Spain and most of the people and way of life ... we decided there and then to move here from Scotland with our 4 year old granddaughter most people didn't believe us but as I write this we are sitting in our new home in playa flamenca for the first night WOW .... Our little one started pre school last week and loves it .... We have not regretted our decision to leave Scotland ...I wish you all the best in your new life
