N26 Bank account
Hi, Does anyone have any information on the N26 bank account? I'm thinking of switching as there are no charges for having this account but unsure on security etc. Any information at all will be helpful. Thanks in advance.

N26 IBAN is in German format (begins DE) and is in the 22 digit format.
I do not think it offers the option of availing of another members IBAN code (ES/IE etc)
It does not offer an account/Sort code option for transactions.
N26 has a max of 3 free ATM withdrawals monthly and €2 per withdrawal thereafter. Worldwide ATM uses attract a 1.7% fee on the amount withdrawn with a minimum €2 charge.
ALL member states banking authority and employers and merchants must accept fellow member states IBAN under 1Feb 2016 (Article 9 of Regulation No 260/2012), but from experience it isn’t worth the paper it’s written on.
Not sure if any of the above helps, I have the N26 account but I find it doesn’t fulfil any requirements I have.

Elements of your post are not correct.
N26 is a German registered bank but it does provide an ES IBAN.
The sort code and account number is identifiable from the IBAN so there is no issue with that:
International Bank Account Number
ISO Country Code (first 2 digits)
The two letter ISO code identifying the country
Checksum (digits 3-4)
Check digits are performed using MOD 97 (ISO 7064)
Bank Identifier Code (digits 5-8)
The first four characters from the BIC code identifying the bank.
Sort Code (digits 9-14)
The actual sort code identifying the bank and branch
Account Number (digits 15-22)
The individual account number identifying the owner

You have quoted me - I don't know why as you are reiterating what I said while saying I am incorrect?
Perhaps you could clarify specifically what in my post is incorrect?
