Hi everyone.      My wife and I are pensioners living in Northern Ireland.     We have Irish passports.  We would like to apply for Residency in Spain but know that the rules changed on 1st Jan.    Does anyone know what these rules are.   Any help would be appreciated.   Patrick

Thanks for replying.     We have Irish passports but live in Northern Ireland (ie UK) so that probably makes a difference.

Hi Patrick

We are same as you-live in Northern Ireland with Irish passports. It has been confirmed that Irish passport holders remain eu citizens so the old residency rules apply (will post the confirmation here if I can find the link)

Hi Deirdre

Many thanks for replying.   That's great that previous Residency rules apply.     However I presume that I would need to pay into Spanish healthcare system as I probably could not get access to NHS.

Regards

Patrick
