Is anyone else having problems getting BBC? We don't have any subscriptions, firesticks or magic box but we've always been able to get BBC 1 and 2 through the internet where we access all our TV channels, however yesterday BBC 1 and 2 disappeared, I've tried resetting my TV but these channels are just not there.

Hi Paul. Yes we’ve had the same problem with the few channels we could get previously. I will be interested to find out if anyone knows why.

You may not want to hear this, but why are you messing about getting TV off the computer?

Why not get a dish and a Freesat box and you will get loads of programmes free and on a big screen too.

We're not messing about, running your TV through your router is legitimate, in fact the cableworld installers set it up for us and we've never had a problem getting BBC 1 and 2 until now.

Glad you mentioned that.

My VOIP phone which replaced my landline, also goes through my Cableworld/ Aireworld router using a Cisco box.  It has suddenly only started allowing local calls if you are lucky, most of the time you get nothing.  After numerous calls to them I still get nothing.  I find them pretty useless. They don't seem to understand the word service.

I only mentioned Freesat because you are not reliant on someone else for your service and you can understand that from my experience above.  Mine does drop out occasionally due to atmospherics and the UKTV channels are not as strong as the BBC ones, just like yours.

I would also like to know why. We lost BBC 1 and 2 two days ago and not come back yet. We are with Telfy for our TV package.

I can't give you any reasons why channels drop out other than atmospherics.  When it's warmer you always get odd things happening.  Have you tried it in the middle of the night?

I can only say my Freesat is generally working well, but some weaker channels, like Yesterday, dip in and out.  The stronger BBC and ITV are fine.

The Sat and PC Guy  who posts on here might have some ideas.

I wouldn't be too bothered but we're in the middle of the euros which we're now watching on Spanish TV so all is not lost.

I can now see why you need the channels, however it's the wrong shaped ball for me!!
