Good Morning all!... hope all is well with everyone on the Forum!!!

We are moving for good ...(at last...), in a few weeks time and we are looking to get Internet and the rest as we all do as without this... we won’t see our Grandchildren so often!!!😂😉!..

Please would you be kind to let us know who would be better for the job?... thank you in advance.

Kind regards... from Serge & Julie

For internet you have two main options.

ADSL is internet via telephone lines. Very reliable. But this depends on many facts such as the quality of the telephone cable, the distance from the house to the exchange, how many "slots" are available...so for this it really does depends where in Muro you are. (inthe town or in the camp for example)

Otherwise you have some other options for internet, from "wireless internet" from a local mast and local provider (there are at least two in the area but their names escape me!) (speeds and service will vary, and depends if you have line of sight to their masts, and tends to be cheaper than...), or 4g from a provider like Movistar (good, fast, but can be expensive compare to wireless, and assumes you are in a 4g area).

Just about all routers these days offer wifi. Wifi allows you to connect a device (phone, laptop, tablet) to your router to get internet within a certain distance of the router, although "wifi boosters" and "powerline" plugs can help extend these signals.

That’s very kind Guy, to reply with a such description of the different solution we have. We really appreciate your time, thank you so much. We suppose that it’s too far for you to come over and see what you could do?... of course, we will pay you for the time and work if this is a possibility, other wise, we will understand.

Once again many thanks Guy. Kind & Best wishes. Serge & Julie

I do cover Muro, (Was there last week), but I do UK TV via satellite and internet, and not actual internet connections.

We moved here last February to Muro but left U.K. 2years ago

It’s a lovely place to live

It was pretty daunting at first but the locals are lovely and the brits that we have met are too

Let us know when you’re here.

Good luck with the move x
