Hello folks
I am interested in starting a bed and breakfast business in or around Orba, have seen a couple of properties that look good, Just wanted to pick your brains as to what you think ,?, are there lots of casa rurals about , seems like a good area and close to coast as well,

If you intend to start a new B & B, rather than buy an existing one, it's essential that you talk to the local town hall to see if they'd allow it and what the requirements are.

Unfortunately We cant afford to buy a property, so we are looking to long term rent a property, have seen some that are ok, and willing to rent
for a bed and breakfast business , May I ask you how you did with your business , if that's not to nosy.

You can take a look at this house if you want. We were a bed and breakfast 10 years ago. But I must warn you, it's a lot of hassle going through going through the legal process. This house is in PEGO. 4 bed, 4 bath. 220000 euros.
we did very well with it for 3 years. then the bubble burst so we packed it in because i was doing well with guests who had bought villas; i would reform their properties. we were legit, paying our taxes, but to be honest, you are better off doing it on the black. the authorities dont leave you alone. food hygien course, health & hygein inspections, alterations, fire safety etc.
the trick is, casa rural. say you dont offer food. room only basis. then you dont need a licence from the town hall.
