Carte de invitation for visiting family.

Hi has anyone completed the process for "carte de invitation" with the police to allow friends to visit, would welcome any help please, or are there any alternatives.

I've not heard of anyone being denied entry for not having this and believe it is not being enforced. Perhaps someone can confirm this?

If you do a quick Google I’m sure you’ll find the article from last year when Hugh Elliott confirmed it wasn’t necessary

It's only necessary if your guests require a visa to enter Spain. If your guests are travelling from the UK then no form required.
