Hi. It has to be automatic because I am not paying for a special License
I prefer a car with a Sunroof or a working convertible top. No black cars. But I am open minded with others.

Hiya, to own a car you need an NIE number. You maybe able to find a long term rental for a fair price, Centauro and enterprise in Benidorm usually have reasonable rates.

First of all you say that you want an automatic car. Then you say that people have told you that you can't own an automatic because you are an American. I'm confused.
However as has been previously mentioned first of all you need to have an NIE number. Secondly there are very, very few automatic cars in Spain.
I agree that your best option would be to go for a long term rental whilst you are here. Advise you to contact various companies for quotes.
