Hi, any recommendations for a reliable cat-sitter preferably someone who is used to looking after an indoor cat (British short hair) for 6 weeks this summer? Don't want to leave him in a cattery and would rather pay for someone to have him in their own safe and secure home while we are away on holiday (we supply all food, treats and litter for the duration) so please message if interested.

Thanks

Alba5

Why would you want someone to sit on your cat ?

Hi,

There is Michelle from Paws Quesada who may be able to help or put you in contact with someone. I'd love to do it but he wouldn't be welcomed by my cats and it would be traumatic for him. Good luck in your search :-)

Your cat will be perfectly alright in a cattery. I’ve always owned cats and they have always been sent to catteries. I learnt my lesson once from a vet when complaining about a certain facility to which I said I would not send my animals. He told me this was nonsense, he personally would have no hesitation in sending cats to it, and, more importantly, all cats, when away from home and confined, will simply sleep most of the time. They will be perfectly alright and pleased to come home. Providing the facility is clean, the animals are fed and cared for, he said that is all they want, anything else is for the benefit of the owner, not the cats.

Thanks for the info, can you recommend any as the only one I know of Paws and Claws is closing down?

Hello Espanglo. Unfortunately I live a long way from you, although I can recommend two in our area. One is La Solana in Jalon and the other is Aliaga between Benitaxell and Javea. Both have relevant websites, but it will mean quite a long journey

Hi,

I know that FAB Cattery in Dolores comes highly recommended closely followed by Feline Friends so it's worth enquiring there if you end up boarding your puddytat.
