We were fed that chestnut, " it's not the box it's your internet" they chant it like a mantra, bit like if you say it often enough people will believe it.

All I ever wanted was a system I could switch on and watch some hope.

Perhaps the issue was simply you were unlucky who you deal with in the first place?

As I previously stated, using a best-case example of Netflix tripping from time to time, whilst is the case internet is not always stable and can cause issues (statement of fact from someone employed in IT), it's also absolutely true that a bad service provider, is simply just that - TV or internet wise.

Enough cowboys about selling rubbish - whether it be TV or anything else for that matter. However, it is wrong to assume 'all are same', as that is simply like saying all cars are the same - massive variation in service, price etc - it would seem you may have found this out already ;-)

I'd still suggest with everyone, that if they have a smartphone and can set it to a mobile hotspot, which they in turn can connect their internet TV service to, instead of their home internet, this will give a 2nd internet connection to test, in order to establish if the problem is with the internet, or with the TV service provider - up until you have tested equipment on different internet connection, it is not always possible to see if it is an ISP or TV company issue.

Of course, UK Sky is available via satellite and subscription also, which can bypass the need for internet for live TV - but it would seem that many do not like the idea of paying over £100 a month for premium type content with sports.

Those aren't our prices, they are the official UK Sky prices, which you would have to pay Sky for. Sky Family & sports, plus HD, plus the BT Sports, there are others ;-)

This is the one main reason why people take the IPTV path, as many cannot afford or do not think reasonable to pay £100 a month + more in per view events.  The majority of people think it's too much, hence we have this variable IPTV options, which cannot be compared to the standardised format of satellite TV.

beinsports for example, which we can pick up by satellite from one of the UAE satellites in this location in Spain - you can get every last premier league game, other sports, satellite quality - around €500 for the box and years sub and you'll need a small dish on your roof, more costs. Each year, €380.

My point is if you want legal and best quality, the options are there via satellite generally, as most stable (though satellites we receive in Spain do not cover all popular TV content). But the cost is comparatively high compared to IPTV services. The other issues in terms of perceived quality, are people aim for the cheapest and usually, the service quality reflects that.

If you just want your BBC's and free to air UK channels, a satellite dish =  no monthly subscription. Or reliance on local ISP's

I think Terry is right anything under 15m you are wasting your time. Regarding the legality, who pays a licence fee in Spain. Besides that seems a redicolus amount to pay. Have you ever herd if a VPN.

Hi SnowKatt57

Sorry to hear of the dreadful service you have received, its not surprise when I hear of bodget&scarper types of folk in Spain, sadly there are too many.

First things first. BEFORE you give up on your boxes. Most IPTV services utilise the MAC address of the box. Think of it as being the address of the box, its unique on every box, a little bit like an IP address. If the instructions you have been given include anything like resetting the box then there is every chance that the MAC address is now duplicated and the IPTV provide consider this as if you are trying to use the MAC address on another device and trying to get double the service... if you follow me and it makes sense?

So, perhaps contact your provider again and tell them about the instructions you were advised to carry out and specifically advise them of your MAC address.

As for your problem with no coloured buttons, IF you have F1, F2, F3, F4 etc buttons then these usually correspond to the colours also. Just try them and see what happens.

Can you let me know what boxes you purchased? Are they MAG boxes?

Finally, IF you want to continue with a reputable IPTV provider then send me a private message and I will advise you of the people I recommend who offer fantastic service, almost immediate email response and are constantly updating their channel offerings, movie club and tv box sets etc.

You know where I am if I can be of help.

Hopefully you will get sorted if the provider sorts out your MAC address

Hi I just saw your message on the forum regarding iptv . I left my box back in London for my son & im looking to get another sorted out here in Santa Pola. Is that something you can help me with ? Would like to get it sorted ASAP .

Regards
