Our daughter is due to travel over in a couple of months.  Her Passport is still in her maiden name, but her UK COVID vaccination certificate is in her married one and she isn't going to have time to get her Passport changed before she travels.

Has anyone been, or had someone they know, in the same position and, if so, did it cause any problems with the Spanish health (aka passenger locator) form / at Alicante airport?

I have suggested she travels with a copy of her marriage certificate just in case, plus appreciate the health form may not even be required by the time she travels, however would appreciate details of any experiences people in the same position have had, so we can try and avoid any problems.

Many thanks.

I don’t know if things are still the same but some years ago if went to your nearest passport office you could get a passport in four hours, I did it myself for my daughter’s passport.

I had the same problem. I still have five years left on my passport, which I will lose if I change my name.  I just ranf the doctors and asked them to change my name back to my maiden name, which they did, left it a week and then re-applied for my covid passport whoch was then in my maiden name and so matched my passport.  Just make sure your travel insurance is in the same name as your passport.

I carry my marriage certificate with me just in case of any emergency where I have to prove my marital status.

Hope this helps

Julie

Names do have to match

See Section on travelling abroad on this link

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/nhs-covid-pass

Now the SpTH form is no longer required, the check  at the airport will be made against passport name and covid certificate,

Not forgetting than a U.K. marriage certificate is not classed as a legal document  in Spain until it has been apostilled.

Richard / Julie / Lynn, many thanks for your responses and guidance, they are a massive help.

I'm very glad I asked now as she will be travelling with our two young grandchildren, so it would have been a nightmare if she'd arrived and they hadn't let her in.

Thanks again for taking the time to respond, it is greatly appreciated.
