Taking the Spanish Driving Licence - cost?
Can anyone tell me what the "The 2.1 rate of 93.12 euros" means? I'm trying to find out what it cost to do the Spanish Driving test.
The DGE website states that anyone not register to swap their UK licence by end of 2020 has to take a driving test to get a Spanish licence.
I am shocked an annoyed at this news since having arrived in Spain at beginning of October it took me several months to get "Residency". In fact I have yet to collect my TIE card from Alicante at beginning of June.
I have read that many Brits tried to swap out their licence in time, before obtaining residencia, and were refused.
I feel as that I am being blamed for saying "goodbye and thanks for all the fish!"
I need to get this sorted so something in my life can appear "normal" and "definite" or I will go mad.
I have finally found a place I would like to live but it is not suitable without a car and driving licence so I am trying to get ahead of obtaining the licence in the middle of a pandemic.
The fee for the driving test is quoted as "The 2.1 rate of 93.12 euros". Does anyone understand this? Does it mean 2.1 times 93.12?
Also does this cover admin, theory test and road driving test? It is about as clear as mud from DGE site even if google translates it for me.
I am presuming I will have to pay separately for the medical test?
Road to peace of mind...
