You don't get individual waste collections. You have communal bins along the road where rubbish is put in. There are also recycling areas dotted around for garden waste, bottles, cans and so on.
You can use any colour bag you want and most people just use the supermarket ones which are very cheap.
Be aware there are supposed to be certain times for putting things in bins and these can be strictly adhered to in the Summer. Ours is 8pm to 11pm for general waste but not stuck to in the Winter. Bottles also have certain times so as to not make too much noise. Times are generally posted on the communal bins.

It’s a great system unless your in the area where they don’t get emptied that much, ours is Brilliant, we also have dumpster divers who clear stuff away (morrocans)although illegal but nobody bothers them, also if you phone the council for large stuff,

Where I live the large street grey bins are for general rubbish, yellow ones are for plastics, green ones are for glass and blue ones are for paper and cardboard. Be aware that each town has their own system.
