Can anyone advise the best way of de-pining my new Spanish house? 😂 I knew it was going to be difficult to find somewhere without so had mentally prepared for this task but I’m not sure on the best solution. At the moment I would like these things to be white:

1. Kitchen doors/units

2. Internal doors

3. Stair bannisters

Has anyone tried/tested sanding/painting white or is it more hassle than it’s worth?

Hi, we had the same problem , but managed to repaint all kitchen doors white and looks great, the local ferreteria will advise you on what paint to use, it took around 3 coats to finish, but was worth it, word of warning, make sure the are really dry before repainting, we sanded down first and wiped with white spirit, there is a great little ferreteria  near the Abbey . Good luck.

Hi chalk paint is perfect for pine

And dries quickly will probably need two coats plus you don’t need to sand just make sure they are clean and grease free before you paint. Because chalk paint is water based it is advisable to use a varnish a good yacht varnish to protect the finish :)

There will be some ideas on YouTube :)
