For some years now I have received Suma and Agencia Tributaria demands for tax on a car and motor home - nothing to do with me, at my holiday home address. The names on the envelopes are not mine and the address is almost the same so the Correos give them to me! I’ve been to the Suma office in the past but they are not interested.
Don't know why you'd think it's identity theft, just bin the letters - end of story.

I had similar with a suma demand, my address but different name. I took it to the main correos office and told them it was wrong delivery. It didn't come back.

Thanks Steve - I have done this but they keep on coming - sounds like it’s not the problem I thought it was!

For the first few years after we bought our property, we continued to receive a demand for car tax relating to the previous owner who at some point must have owned a Volvo over here.
The car wasn't included with the sale of the property. I debated whether to simply ignore them and bin them. But as it was I sent them back with some comment on them in Spanish saying either "not here" or "not at this address".
I think they eventually stopped a couple of years ago.

That’s interesting. We bought the house in1988 off plan so no one else has ever lived here but us. We just returned after few years and there is more post for them than us!!
