I’m Irish and demand outstrips supply in Ireland.
I’m looking at buying to rent and family holidays too. Im near retirement and want to keep this home as long as I’m around but you just never know and would hate to think I or my family couldn’t sell it down the line and were forced to keep it or sell at a big loss.
My Dad left an apartment to my brother and me. It has caused no end of family rows. In the end I have been saddled with upgrading it and paying all the costs every year, we dont have time or inclination to rent it out although we get a long winter let most years that goes towards all the expenses. My dad had good intentions, and it was all he had, but it has caused me so much stress. Just for your consideration! Leave it to a charity or something.
