The Costa Blanca's quite a big place so you may need to narrow it down a bit.

You  would be advised  to  visit  the Costa Blanca  area  as it very large area  you mentioned

North Coast  Blanca is  ore expensive  than  South Coast  Blanca.  Any  properties  near Coastline  are more  expensive  than inland.  Some  inland  areas are beautiful  but a Car is essential  in  some of them.  Public transport is  OK  but  Again  going  inland  not  great. No Trains  in the South  Costa Blanca.

It best if you rent  before  you  buy. What  Passport  do you  have. UK  or  E U as  it will  effect  how long you can  stay in  Spain 🇪🇸

Hello

You shouldnt even consider buying a property until you get the location right!  There are 1000s of properties for sale , in all areas but getting the right area for your needs is vital. Write a list of your priorities  eg. town, country, nr to beach (or not ), public transport, supermarkets, banks, medical facilities, sporting facilities etc etc. This is what is important, no one else knows what you need closeby.

Google wherever you  can  and  narrow down your options, then come & visit  for a  short holiday and check out  the locations..... you cant decide on these locations  from the UK. Only when you have got the right  location should you look at properties in that area.

Its very expensive to move if you get it wrong & from your previous posts it seems like you have.

Good Luck this time

Cheers

Thanks for information, we would be very grateful for your suggestions. We are looking for somewhere on a local bus route within 2-3 miles from the sea. Amenities such a shopping, cafes & a medical centre.

Any suggestions of any area within an 1-1.5 hrs from Alicante airport would be grateful.

Thanks again

We are looking for an area on a local bus route and about 2-3 miles from the sea. Close to shopping, cafes & a medical centre but not too touristy.

We are a UK couple in our 70's so don't want a hilly area, any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks again

Try  Punta Prima  Coba Roig  Playa Flamenca  La Zenia.  All  nice  areas with plenty of ex pats  and good amenities  and Bus route.  That is   my bit of advice  for what  it worth.  If  you go future  South  like  Murcia  but I got no knowledge of  them

If/when you do buy somewhere, don't refer to yourself as "expats" though.

That's my advice.
