Our house purchase (going back a few years now) was handled by:
Home (mnostrumlaw.com)
No issues with the service or the communication. At the time, they helped set-up our bank account (at a Sabadell near to their office - at the time there were no charges for the type of account they opened but you will see lots of messages here complaining about bank charges by Spanish banks primarily for non residents). They also ensured all utilities were transferred including IBI to that account so that helped.
As it is, I've sinced changed bank accounts but that is neither here nor there for your post.
Also worth considering a will following your property purchase - but that doesn't need to be done via a solicitor (although we did if only because it was one of the elements we agreed to pay for as part of the fees and it was just easier to get everything sorted through one firm).
They did ask about whether we wanted them to do our tax returns - we politely declined as solicitors are not cost effective at doing this whether you are a resident or a non-resident IMO. They're also not tax specialists in most cases but clearly the extent of specialism required depends on the complexity of ones tax affairs!
