Hello I am a fully qualified Conveyancing Paralegal who worked in the UK in both private practice and local government. I am now seeking any position with solicitors or estate agents. I would however consider any office based position. If you have a position of interest or would like more information please PM me.

Thanks

Dorothy Kerr

If you are not fluent in Spanish the skills/attributes your describe will be of little to no use in Spain.

Therefore you would end up with something low skill and low pay.

I disagree. I think that many Spanish companies - and English companies installed in this tourist area - want people who speak perfect English to serve their foreign clients. Obviously the more knowledge of the Spanish language more possibilities. But it is not strictly necessary to start working in Spain. I am Spanish and we have great respect for the British, as long as they have a good attitude towards work.

Dorothy was just posting and asking if anyone had anything to offer, so the totally negative remark about speaking Spanish serves no purpose at all. If you are willing to work hard and try something new I am sure you will find something somewhere. Many people arrive with little or no Spanish and still are successful. Good luck Dorothy and ignore those who only want to be negative. But if you intend to stay learning Spanish will obviously help.

Hi Gillian,

Hi Gillian,

I have read the information which you sent and have decided this venture is not for me.

I want to be employed rather than self employed.

I would be very grateful if in the line of your business if you hear of any jobs you could let me know.

Many thanks for your time.

Kind Regards

Dorothy

This is the problem you will find in Spain.

There are little to no jobs available where you will be directly employed. The reason for this is that the costs for the employing organisation are very high.

Therefore you need to be Autonomo / self employed. However, the cost to the individual going Autonomo is high.

You also incur these costs even when you are not working.

This is the reality if working in Spain.
