Hi,
You could try contacting the Orihuela and/or Torrevieja council owned animal shelters as they take in lost pets but if he's chipped then they would have contacted you, I assume you are still at the same address and have the same phone number as when he was registered and hes in the Spanish system. I know that Torrevieja shelter will advertise your lost cat on their Facebook page.
Good luck and I hope you find him soon.

Thank you so much for your suggestions. It’s very helpful and hopefully will help others as well.
We are lucky, Richie came back home today. Ironically he brought two more cats with him, but they were scared and escaped straight away when I spotted them. Left some food and water for his new friends outside, while our cat is enjoying home time.
Thanks again for your reply!

So glad he’s home! He’s a very handsome boy.
Animals bring so much joy, and occasional heartache, don’t they? He’s back now so a happy ending 🤪🥂
