Hi everyone,  I am new to the forum and looking for some useful recommendations on areas to live in the Orihuela costa.

We are looking for somewhere within easy walking distance to all amenities.  Also where there are friendly sociable people we can get to know to enjoy our move to Spain.

A couple of areas we thought are Punta Prima, Playa Flamenca and south west Torrevieja, but welcome any comments from you all.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks

Anita

I bought a property in La cincuela Calle Escorpiones , love it not too far from the beeches ( walking distance) bars restaurants in all directions and quite at night love it

10 euros taxi or 1.35 bus to Torreveija 40 minute walk or less if not hot to la zenia Boulevard

We have a house in Playa Flamenca.  We can walk to the beach, the Boulevard and the supermarket.  Plenty going on and bus service too.  I will PM you too.

Hi Anita,

I guess it depends if you're looking to be in a Spainsh residential area or with expats.

Hi, thanks for your reply.  I have had a look at google maps and this looks like a great area with lots around and not too far from the beach.

Have a visit to Pinar de Campoverde. You will love it.

Hi Sandra,

Thanks for your reply.  I have taken a look at the property in that area and it is a little more than we would like to spend.  Though it does look like a lovely place.Does it have plenty to do and lots of activies going on as this is what we are looking for.  many thanks

We are fairly new but we have already met some lovely people. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes that have activities. Also doctors, vets, hairdressers, nail salons, supermarkets and even an Iceland and Waitrose! The village is a short distance to the lovely beaches and the nearby towns (Pilar de la Horadada and San Pedro) and 20 mins from the Zenia centre.

What more can you ask for!

Sandra
