Renewing our NIE paper

We are buying new car and our NIE paper says 3 months we have a number.

Hi JohnSasa, is that provisional paper not showing your NIE number already? I say because NIE numbers are given rather straight away at the authorities, while the NIE ID-card use to be supplied or send at a later stage.

We both got the paper copy few years back but the expires on
the bottom says 3 months so well out of date I live in Callosa De Segura so
could this be renewed in Elche.

The only thing you can't do with the 3 month expiary one is buy a car and as you say the process is virtualy the same and you get the same no again the new ones that are currently being issued do not have an expiration date. you can renew in Elche but you have to make an appointment if you need the forms you can find them on the CAB website with an explanation of how to fill them in.

Yes we both have a working NIE number just the pappers was only valid for 3 months.
