I belong to the "Cars for sale Costa blanca" site on Facebook which has a fair number of reasonably priced cars and you may find something not far from you. Buyer beware, of course.

If you buy from a garage.or proper dealer they have to provide a guarantee so not cheap. There is a dealership that might not be too expensive on the road just out of Almoradi, to Dolores, just north of the AP7 (737) turn ons.

I bought a year 2000 car several years ago on eBay in Cadiz (a bus ride from where I was), already registered in Spain (expensive and troublesome to register) Just €900, and am still driving it. it had a few problems but nothing expensive.

As others have mentioned second hand cars are not cheap in Spain. We budgeted 2000 euros and realised we were way off the mark. Paid 5,500 euros for a 12yr ford focus trend 96k on the clock. We love it. The dealer did all the paperwork and helped us arrange insurance, which we needed at the time, as we hadn't a clue about anything. We are now more knowledgeable

We bought from La Regia Cars in Cabo Roig. I wouldn't overly recommend them because they said the car came fully serviced which didn't stack-up. However, once the car was serviced by JM Motors in Los Dolses, we have never looked back. If La Regia was selling a car that I wanted, I would definitely buy from them, but they haven't made me a loyal customer

Cheap is relative, to one man it can mean a few hundred Euros but to the next several thousand so it would be more helpful to state your budget or price range.

I have just returned to the uk and left my seat Toledo (the red rocket) with a trader to sell for me.

I’ve had the car 5yrs and it’s amazing, starts every time, no bumps or rattles, new tyres and new battery, very economical.  Red paint is faded hence low price of 1500€
