Hi,

Does anyone knows the easiest way to get from Valencia airport to Pego? Our car will be ready for pick up in Pego so we need to get there by other means. Is there any public transport or is the taxi an only option? Is so, does anybody know of a reliable, honest and not prohibitively expensive taxis? Thank you

Try google maps, get directions from Valencia to Pego by train to get an idea but it looks pretty complicated. Would it be possible to pre-book a hire car from Valencia Airport to drop off as near to Pego as possible, drive to your property, then with your other half following in the other car to the drop off point you both drive back to your property together.

There are only 4 daily bus services to Pego out of Gandia or Oliva..http://www.visitgandia.com/turgan/Web_php/index.php?contenido=descripcion&id_boto=3945

No direct bus services from Valencia airport to Oliva/Gandia. Take bus 150 to Valencia bus station. ALSA operates frequent bus services to both Gandia and Oliva.

You could take the train to Xeraco or, I think, Gandia then get a taxi or maybe a bus.  You could also check with Beniconect who definitely do runs from Alicante to Pego but not sure about Valencia.  The Alicante to Pego was quite reasonable given the amount tolls cost.

Beniconect do transfers from Valencia

https://www.beniconnect.com/

I see the buses running up and down towards Pego from the Vall de Gallinera so thought they were local.

Hi,

We did this trip ourselves 2 weeks ago.

Metro from the airport to Xativa €4.40 each. Then cross the road when you come up from the metro to the Estacion Nord, trains to Gandia run regularly, €5.80, then the bus from Gandia to Pego, €1.80.

If you have an early flight in you should be able to get the 13.15 bus from Gandia, otherwise there's a bus at 17.45, we had a meal in a local bar whilst waiting. The bus station is literally the back of the train station.

It was a surprisingly straightforward trip, so we would do it again if car hire was ridiculous as it was over Christmas & NYr, my husband then did the journey in reverse to pick up a car at a ridiculously cheap price for our second week & go back to the airport next week.

I live just outside Gandia so usually take the metro into Xàtiva metro station with is right outside Valencia Nord train station.

Trains to Gandia every half hour. You can then bus Oliva/Pego or take a taxi from there.

The metro/train from airport to Gandia is €11 pp or thereabouts
