How to travel home with two dogs post Brexit

Morning! We are bringing our two dogs to our home in Pilar for the first time (hopefully) in October, and returning to the UK in early November. We have booked an early morning Eurotunnel crossing, and envisage two overnight stops after 8 hours of travel, somewhere around Bordeaux and Zaragossa. We need some guidance for the return leg please re which port and ferry/shuttle would be best for dogs not being left too long. The crossing would probably be early evening after a day’s travel through France. Does anyone have experience of this return leg please?
