Hi, Can any recommend somewhere in and around Pilar I can purchase an A/C unit and perhaps a reliable brand to go for, also in the market for a washing machine.

We used Flere Expert in Pilar. They are on the right on Calle Mayor, as you exit toward Pinar de Campoverde. The shop has orange signage.
They speak pretty good English.
For a/c, they offer numerous brands (cheap to premium), and they install as well.
For white goods, they offer several brands, but they give a 4-year warranty on their own brand "Bru".
