Hi. Can anyone offer a home to a Swiss Sheperd dog who is currently living alone in his deceased owners’ house in Campoverde? He is on his own but is fed by neighbours for the past 2 years! We live in the U.K. and rescued a dog 7 years ago bringing her back to the U.K.  This dog doesn’t get on with cats or we would bring him back too. He is 9 yrs old and deserves a new home with people to care about him. As a last resort we would crowd fund to try and get him over here if there’s no hole in Spain. Can anyone help? Thanks

Have heard about this poor dog and it's heartbreaking. We have just rescued a young German shepherd and already have a dog so as much as we'd love to we can't give him a home but is there's anything else we can do? Maybe walk him sometimes or play with him? I'd be more than willing to put some fun back into this poor dogs life.

Hi. I'm not sure if my last message got through to you as you never replied but if you can get in touch again I could organise for you to meet with our neighbour in Campoverde to discuss possible walks/play time with Sultan? Ideally we would like to find him a new home but all help would be appreciated!

Thanks

Have you tried posting on some of the UK dog rescue facebook pages for a home? It's not unusual for people to be prepared to adopt from Europe and to pay / contribute to the costs of getting the dog back, and you'll reach a huge audience by going the Facebook route. Wish I was there to help (am still in the UK) ... he looks such a sweet boy and really deserves a home with his own proper family to be with him all the time. Good luck!!

Hi. Thanks for your message. We are also in the U.K. although we have a home in Campoverde. I have posted on Fb but not on the rescue pages. I will have a look. Thanks again.

Also worth taking a look at / contacting the following groups, who may well be happy to help 'promote' ...

http://www.spanishstraydogs.org.uk/ and their FB page (which will get more views) is https://www.facebook.com/SpanishStrayDogsUK/

http://www.dogwatchuk.com/spanish-rescue-dogs/ (also have a FB presence)

If he's over 8 years old then oldies.org would no doubt help ...

https://www.oldies.org.uk/ and their Facebook page is at https://www.facebook.com/OldiesClub/

I shall keep everything crossed for you / for him!

Hi Maxine and sorry for late reply. We’ve been getting our facts. In order for you to see Sultan you will need to get in touch with Yvonne from PAPS in Pilar de la Horadada. Her number is

642451127

PAPS is a local dog charity in the area and Yvonne knows all about Sultan. We have been told that he is fine with children so it would be great if you could meet him😃.

Please let me know how you get on.

Regards

Ana Marie

I just came across this post shocking and heart breaking. Did anyone rescue him yet?
