I've bought a villa in Campoverde with its own pool.  I do not live there permanently yet, but can anyone advise how one maintains their own pool, where does one go to find out more info on this.   Also, how often should the pool be cleaned.

Thank you

Hi if you not here permanently get a pool cleaner the pool needs a weekly clean if you have trees near maybe twice a week. The skimmer baskets at the end of the pool need emptying if they get blocked it put strain on the pump and it will burn out if totally blocked same with the bottom drain . The filter needs back washing to clean it and regular chemical checks ph and cloro if not the pool will get alge and turn green.

If you here for a while I would net any debris out then you have to vacuum the bottom of the pool look on YouTube or get someone in to clean it for you and watch and take notes. There's a company called the pool people they do a cleaning package to suite you , don't leave your pool if it runs dry ie the water level drops below the skimmers you're going to have a bill to replace the motor and either replace the water if green or put loads of chemicals into it . Get someone in watch them until your comfortable. Regards P

Thanks so much for this info.  Lots to take on board, but it has to be done.
