We are in the process of buying a a villa in Campoverde. Could you please advise on how frequently it should be cleaned and what the likely cost would be when using a local pool cleaner?

Hi Chris

It isnt easy to indicate cleaning costs as the size of the property, if you are renting it out for holiday lets etc. As for the pool, in the summertime, you will likely need weekly attention, especially if you are not around, out of season can be relaxed a little more.

Costs will vary by location and provider etc. For those sorts of services you should expect between 6€ - 10€ per hour. Disclaimer - I dont know your full facts!

Hope that helps

I will not be renting it out. Our intention is to be there for 4 to 5 months of the year. I only want the pool cleaned. It is 8m x 4m. How long would that take to clean?

Thank you

Ah ok, I misunderstood your original post. I would suggest you post and ask for recommendations for Pool Maintenance providers in your area.

Once the pool is under control, it should only be an hour a week, at most.

Hope that helps

I may have misunderstood what you're saying, but there's a lot more to a pool than just cleaning. The most important thing is to maintain the chemistry, and that needs to be done year round.
