If you are under State Pension age you will need Private Health Insurance when applying for Residencia, I would recommend that you speak to Alfonso at Gran Alacant Insurances, he is very helpful, professional and will take you through all the options, they advertise on the Forum or use the link below.

If you are over State Pension age contact DWP in Newcastle and speak to their Overseas Section to obtain your S1 Form to enable you to register in the Spanish Healthcare System.

I had a look at the website and there is a "Send" button at the bottom of the Contact Form, if you have problems sending it I suggest you phone Alfonso.

We are with Salus, have had excellent service when needed so far!
If you look at CAB Spain website, it gives a list of requirements that you should check the insurance covers......not just to meet residency requirements but to be sure of full cover.
Lynne
As has been said if you want residency make sure the insurance is suitable as not all are!

My wife and I moved here last year and both under state pension age, we have a policy with DKV and they have been excellent, if you need to know more let me know.
