Convenio Especial

Hi all, 

I’ve been reading today that people are having problems with “Convenio Especial” in that monthly payments are not being taken and therefore, no health cover is in force!!

The rumours are that this is happening solely with Brits using Sabadell bank! (i.e. no payment taken from their accounts).

Does anyone have any information on this?  This is obviously a cause for concern for many people!

Do you mind telling us where you read this? Our direct debits are with Sabadell and have not yet been debited for February. January’s were taken on time. Many thanks.

Hi, read this on a local Facebook page.  Numerous people worrying!  No one has any answers though!

I would wait until something official is available via a link you can check, or if you want a quicker response, go into your Sabadell branch & ask them ..... when not supported by official confirmation , Facebook is not reliable

I contacted Sabadell today.  They told me that money for the direct debit had not been requested by Generaltat Valenciana in February and that I would need to take it up with them ( the INSS I presume).

Convenio Especial direct debit payments in respect of March and Februay have not been taken from my bank account.  Does anyone know if there is a problem at the moment?

Hi all, Someone mentioned to me that there is a problem with their computer system in Alicante!  Has anyone actually spoken to them for clarification of the issue?!

Thanks for this Steve. I have emailed several times with no reply.  I have also telephoned but the operator never heard of the Convenio, why does this not surprise me? If I don't hear anything this week I plan to go to the office in Alicante but as you know it is so difficult to see anyone at the minute.
