Hi- I've heard recent ads on radio for alternative electricity suppliers and wondered if anyone in the area had tried them? Any one found solar system that does more than heat water??

Solar systems are prohibitively expensive, such a shame. I was quoted a minimum of €12,000!

I agree with Cheryl, and it's not just the initial installation cost; it's the ongoing costs. A friend of mine had to replace his entire battery bank not long ago, and one of the cells has now gone down, which is going to cost him another €400.

Hi- just read about sun tax and of course back handers and corruption to keep solar prohibitively expensive.  Damn
