Hi, could someone please advise me on how I register with a Doctor. I am moving to pinoso as soon as our house is built. But in the meantime we are renting elsewhere, so do I see a doctor in pinoso or register for 1 year were my rental is.

Thank you

.

Are you on UK passport?

If you are a UK passport holder you cannot stay in Spain legally for a year but will have to follow the 90/180 rules meaning you can only stay for 90 days in a rolling 180 days.

You will need to apply for a visa and then residency to stay longer and meet the income and healthcare requirements.

You've been posting about a move from France to Spain since 2020 and now you say you are here but renting so it would assist greatly in answering your question(s) if you told us what your current residential status in Spain is?

Yes you're right, it has taken all this time to get our long term visas. So we are totally legal to live in Spain

Can you tell us please what do you consider to be a "long term visa" as I've never heard of a visa that is valid more than 3 months.

Perhaps it may be very valuable information to other posters.

I should correct this info what I should have said is we have been granted a temporary residence visa valid for 12 months renewable after 12 months.

It would depend on where you have registered on the padron. You'll need a copy of your padron (no older than 3 months old if you've recently moved), your TIE card and your S1 (or social security number, if working).

I'm assuming that your temporary residence document (TIE) is via the NLV which is renewable after the first year and subsequent 2 year periods until you become permanent resident after 5 years.
