For the last three years we have wiinted in Playa Flamenca (rented accommodation) from Dec to Mar.

As we will be arriving in Spain whilst the UK is still in the EU but leaving Spain after the UK has left (staying 101 days), we have been trying to find out what/if any visas we will need.

The FO page just states the EU will set requirement - have contacted Spanish Embassy and not getting any advice.

Has anyone on the Forum heard anything about requirements.

Regards

Paul & Linda

Nobody will be counting the days you spend here this December. So Jan-March will make up your 90 days.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but it's possible you could be.....😎

Hi dinnerout

How so? As I’m thinking of doing something similar (overlapping 2020/2021), I don’t want to fall foul of the law. I thought Schengen rules applied from January 1st and therefore the “count” would begin then. If I’ve missed something, please say 🤪🥂

I've sent another email to Spanish Embassy asking them the question again - hopefully they can now help - will post answer once received

Hi Ange, I sign all of my posts with my name, it's easily visible and disappointing that you continue to address me by my username only.

I've said all I wish to on the matter and do not wish to be in debate with you.

Kind regards, Steve

Hi Paul,

Let’s hope they come back to you. 👍 My concern is that it’s not a “Spanish” problem/rule, it’s Schengen law. They may, therefore, not feel overly obliged to answer. 🤞🤪🥂

Hi Steve

My apologies, it was not my intention to offend you.
