What story, and where online? Would be interested to know if the authorities had realised the seriousness of their slow response, and impact on their taxes income, and are actually hurrying through some actions to get the beach bars reopened.....

Thanks Deano - a positive step, if it comes off! Is this solely the opening of the public toilets (which is much needed), or are they looking to actually open the beach bars, reinstate lifeguards etc, etc...??

Only the toilets. It does not look like we will see the bars open in the near future. The council made a grave error by not getting the legal matters sorted on this prior to the start of the summer season. Once again the Orihuela Costa suffers! Yet they still keep giving out building licences. When will they wake up and see what is happening?

Such a shame .  Think of all the revenue that could  have been created for them as well as adding to the beach goers enjoyment .
