Last July and August we found the heat unbearable... we live here ...

We have a 6 year old granddaughter

Does anyone know where we could go for 3 to 4 weeks at this time .... we were going to go inland but we were told the 🦟 mosquitoes were unbearable...

Thank you in advance ....

North West coast is a lot cooler. When I drive back to the UK the temperature drops down to low 20's. Which is a major relief for us and the dogs as it usually around 40' in Central Spain.

Nice tour would be a few nights in

Pamplona

Bilbao

Santiago De Comp

All wonderful cities with lots of history,  things to do and a truly Spanish feel.

Friends of ours who have been here for 40 years, frequently travel to Andorra for this period, staying in an hotel there; they do say, however, to avoid ‘Old Andorra’!!

Right - as follows: they stayed in Piolets Park - however, she said that it was going to be closed for renovations so doesn’t know if it’s open again! In a town called Soldeau.

Also, apparently it is extremely reasonable to rent apartments there.

One enters Andorra on the only main road which continues through Andorra La Vella and is the route to the hotels. Avoid like the plague the actual town of Andorra La Vella as it is heavily built up and not appropriate for a relaxing holiday, nor really suitable for children.

The hotel has amazing views - there are many hotels there of similar quality - huge pool and quite appropriate for children.

Hope this helps

Thank you Stephanie yes I think the one you have mentioned is having alterations can’t book it ... it was good as they had a kids club and a pool thank you for telling us to stay clear of the old town ... about to start looking again 😊

Thank you
