If you're prepared for a drive this place is great ...

Restaurant Rebate

Carretera CV 952, km 10,5, 03190 Pilar de la Horadada, Alicante, Spain

Believe they do Flamenco nights too.

You'll need to book !

We used to go to Rebate on a regular basis, as it's a lovely setting. However, they've upped their price and reduced the quantity, so we no longer go. In any case, it's not what I'd call authentic Spanish, as it's targeted at non-Spanish customers.

What about Las Cuevas in San Miguel ?

We had paella at the Arroceria on the N332 in playa Flamenca. It was lovely. You can see them cooking it in a traditional way.  They also have flamenco nights. It is reasonably priced.

Los Cucalos in la Zenia is about as authentic a Spanish restaurant as you can get in the area. Just off the la Zenia to Villamartin road.

what food do you want to try? I could recommend you some but paella is the easy answer but maybe you want to try something now but more interesting.

For example I love "pelotas", they are like big meatballs of meat, etc...
