On the 16/07/18 i was laying on the roof enjoying the lovely evening weather when about midnight a large flock of birds appeared overhead flying from the Murcia area towards Torrevieja.

This continued for maybe 3/4 of an hour in batches. Quite a spectacle.

Would anyone have any ideas as to what type of birds  these would have been?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Regards.

Peter.

Hi Peter

They could have been Flamingos flying from the salt lake in San Pedro, near Murcia airport, to the salt lake at Santa Pola.

Hi Bill.

Thanks for the reply. Yes they certainly could have been flamingos.

It was such a strange/amazing sight at that time of night, so unexpected.

Thanks again.

Peter.
