Has anyone experienced delays in transferring funds from the UK to Caixabank?

Hi All,

Not sure if this topic already exists, so sorry if I'm repeating myself.

I've been transferring money to Caixabank since 2019, and usually the money appears in my Spanish bank within an hour or two - I've always used Wise for my transfers.

Recently however, transfers are taking 2-3 days instead of hours. I've not changed bank accounts or any of the references I supply Wise, and I'm a bit puzzled it's now taking so long. Wise are blaming the bank for these delays.

Has anyone else experienced this, and did they manage to sort it?

Hi Rob and welcome to the forum,

My Wise transfers typically take seconds. However, yesterday morning I made a transfer and received a message from Wise saying they "were working on it", but actually the transfer still only took 7 seconds (to Sabadell). It's a Red Day in Spain today, so the banks are closed, which is one of the suggestions Wise gives for transfer delays on their website:
