Hello Sarah,

As nobody answered from your area of interest yet,  I wonder if you’ve had the chance to read through the following.  Many answers will be found in this guide

Best wishes for your successful move to Spain 😊

Assuming you're flying into Alicante, there are plenty to choose from. We bought a house in Punt Prima a couple of years ago and have rented cars on most of our trips at the airport (pre-booked !!). We've used Centauro the last dozen times without a problem (but you do need to check the car thoroughly before driving off). Take out a UK excess policy (circa £35 a year) and don't take their policy at the desk. Sorry if this seems to be teaching you to suck eggs,

Santa Pola is lovely, Villamartin was to far in land for us (we wanted to be able to walk to the beach. Cabo Roig and San Pedro del Pinatar are worth a look (depending on your search criteria). We spent a lot of time really working out what we wanted before we went over. Really paid dividends as we didn't waste time looking at stuff to far in land, too commercial, too quiet etc

Good luck with your search
