Also thankyou all for your advice on the wise bank account, really really easy to set up

Used them twice now for separate purchases & never had any issues.

You get your own dedicated agent so there's no faffing about with call centres or the like.

The rates seemed reasonable & it all went very smoothly on both occasions.

I used MoneyCorp some time again to make transfers across from UK to Spain and back. Never had a problem, exchange rate was always good and had a personal assistant in UK (just used to ask for him when I phoned). Transfers were always done on time and very quickly. We were buying a flat at the time and it was off plan so payments were made at intervals. Just gave them the intervals and they took the money out of my account in UK and paid the builders in Spain. I think the charge was 4 pounds each time but made more than that with the better exchange rate I would have got from the bank.

Used them many times and never had a problem but I now use Wise to transfer as the rates seem to be better.

I used to transfer with Moneycorp but I use wise to transfer now. Better rates and the amount is here in seconds.

I've just transfered a tenna to see if it landed in my account but still not there (late friday) it maybe there electronic don't work the weekend 🙃 but I have the feeling I could have got a better rate

We have now got a wise account and a chase account so between the two I'm sure we are covered moving forward  but thankyou for your response  ,very helpful, hate dealing with money electronically and over the phone I'm a cash man myself (so many things can go wrong)

Cheers colin

I’m sure you will be happy with Wise. I was amazed at how good they were the first time I used them for transfer and they are spot on every time.
