Could someone confirm the current situation with travel from Spain to Scotland?

The Gov.scot website is slightly confusing. Am I right that if I present my EU Covid certificate you DO NOT need to show a pre flight test?

I'm aware that a day 2 antigen is still required for the UK locator form.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Steve,

Scotland rules are the same as England, anyone fully vaccinated in Europe has to complete the passenger locator form and take a day 2 PCR test. Test can be taken any time from landing up to 48 hours after arrival.

If you go to the link below and read through the text you can find the reference to the EU vaccination cert being accepted.

Hi,

as it stands at present even if you are fully vaccinated you need to take a day 2 test if you are entering the UK for any length of time. The requirement at the moment if to take a PCR test, that is supposed to change from later this month to accepting a antigen test.

Keep an eye on the Gov.UK website for any rule changes before you travel.

There are links to the other UK countries from the above link. It also tells you what is required if you are not fully vaccinated.

Thanks Aitch, I was aware that the EU certificate is accepted and the need for a 2 day test when there, my question was do I need a pre flight test to enter Scotland?

Hi Steve,

sorry, misread the question. Scotland do not require a pre-flight test if you are fully vaccinated, I think this is the same for all UK countries now. Just a completed passenger locator form and a booked day2 test.
