Tolls have virtually been removed. We went to Calpe last week and no toll but, coming back, we did go through one.

The ones on the AP7 by Los Montesinos and La Zenia are still in operation (disgusting 4.60 each toll) and they still have a contract for about another 8 years or so.

The two between Alicante and Benidorm have been removed so I guess I must have taken a different route to get done for one on the way back.

On the reverse of the ticket it states Area Agost but no booths to pay.

If they put that toll down to say €1 they would probably find that usage increased more than enough to generate the same income, or more, while at the same time eliminating huge amounts of congestion and the resultant pollution caused by drivers bypassing it by detouring through Torre.

Surely only the meanest of the mean would object to paying €1!
