The EHIC (now GHIC) has not gone, unless you are here on an NLV and private health care.

Use the GHIC card.

Apply for your Global Health Insurance Card from the NHS website.

If you hold a current EHIC card there is no need to replace it with a GHIC card.

Both are valid.

If you do not have a GHIC card just apply for one from the NHS web-site.

All you need is your National Insurance number.
