Hi

We are looking at the possibility of moving out to Spain and are going through all the requirements. It looks doable so ourquestion is what do we do first?? Look for and purchase property  obtain bank account in Spain, apply for residency??? Any help would be gratefully received

Thanks Natalie 😊

Hi,

Firstly you need to apply for a non lucrative visa at the Spanish embassy in the UK. You need to do this whilst you are still living in the UK. If you can meet the income and healthcare requirements, police checks and supply other documents and information they require you will gain a NLV. After you gain the NLV you can move over to Spain and apply for residency. You might be better to rent a property for a year to get established in your chosen area.

See link below:

How to apply for a Non-Lucrative visa (NLV)
