Swimming pool

It's very unlikely you'll get permission to put in an in ground or above ground pool if there isn't one already in place. Over the past couple of years, permission for swimming pools has been denied for lots of areas. It's something to do with the Forestry commission and water saving. Your estate agent/solicitor should have known and advised you of this. I don't know of any planning applications for pools that have been approved in the last couple of years.

So your saying it’s not even possible for a above ground pool ?

Hi my estate agent told me it was highly unlikely for a below ground pool but above ground would not be a problem I’ve been getting quotes for a fibreglass pool which is a removable object not concrete does anyone know the name or contact for the local architect thanks Keith 

Ask at your town hall for the architect.

You could go to the Town Hall and just ask if it's possible to speak to the architect,, then you are getting the correct info. Even architects can give you wrong info (I can vouch for that) so use the Town Halls architect and if needed take a translator along with your deeds.

I do not think you need a licence for an above ground, free standing, temporary structure I.e. a wooden pool. Try

Paulsav is correct, ask the architect at your Town Hall, they are the only ones qualified to give you the correct advice.  You may be lucky to find a supplier that will give you the correct advice, but most will not, for fear that you may not proceed if you don't want to get involved with the bureaucracy - I was almost caught out by a so-called "reputable" builder.
