Hi Lizzie,
I think something must have been misunderstood, because if your daughter had a test at the IMED clinic in Torrevieja less than 72 hours (3 days) ahead of her departure time from Spain, she did not need another test. With the greatest respect to IMED, they don't decide the entry requirements for travellers to UK countries, the UK and Devolved governments do that and it's stated as 72 hours on the Gov.UK website:

"Follow these steps:
"Take a COVID-19 test. Normally this will be in the country you’re in. (To board your transport to England, you need proof of a negative result from a test taken in the 3 days before the service departs.)
"Complete a passenger locator form. (You can do this any time in the 48 hours before you arrive in England.)"
